Shiftwork Solutions have agreed to partner with the University of Queensland during 2025 and support research into – Heuristics in Evaluating and Planning Work Practices: Principles for Evidence-Based Decision Making using Generative AI.
Shiftwork Solutions use proprietary, site-based information and data from shiftwork operations regarding employee sleep patterns, mental health, shift length use, team concepts, shift rotations, work cycles, time off, fatigue management, predictability, overtime and other components of shiftwork to evaluate the performance of existing roster arrangements.
This database of information represents over 30 years of input from over 39,000 individual workers representing 330 different operating sites and 199 different companies.
The research for 2025 is funded by the Business, Economics and Law (BEL) Facility at the University of Queensland and seeks to foster cross-disciplinary collaboration and facilitate engagement with external research partners.
Outcomes and findings from this research will be shared with our shiftwork network after review and publishing of this information.
